When I was first coming out, I travelled to San Francisco. I met a friend and we went to Amelia's, the most popular lesbian bar in town at the time. When we left, a strange man who was leaning against the wall just outside the door ran up behind us and stabbed me. He had been waiting there to stab a random lesbian for no other reason than to stab a lesbian.
