A man started shouting right in my face aggressively after I mentioned my sexuality. We were having a perfectly nice conversation about music before that at a music festival but he just turned nasty after the word 'lesbian'. My girlfriend bravely stepped in and luckily he backed off. I've lost count of the number of times men have continued to try and chat me up after I've told them I'm a lesbian. "You just need to meet the right man" etc. or far ruder responses are common. It isn't harmless, it's completely disrespectful and wearisome when I just want to be left alone - it's harassment.
